Carnival season!

With most Fashion magazines and blogs focusing on Autumnal styles its hard to remember that we still have a few precious weeks of summer left! And what better way to say your farewells to this typical English summer than by heading down to the annual Notting Hill Carnival this bank holiday weekend. Here's some fashion inspiration influenced by the bright colours and eclectic patterns of the costumes you're bound to see if you manage to make it to the Carnival.

Something else to look forward to this September is Vogue's Fashion's Night Out . According to Vogue's Ella Alexander, 'Following the success of last year's event, Vogue is partnering with even more designers , department stores and high street chains to create a shopping night to remember'. Be sure to go on the website link above to find out which of your favourite designers will be getting involved. Apparently last year Chanel were providing customers with free manicures using the much sort after Jade coloured nail polish!

Yet again this September sees the showcasing of the new Spring/Summer collections of some of the world's finest Fashion Designers. From 17th September the fashion elite will be gathering in London to get the first glimpse of these collections. Here at Lily and Lionel we have been doing our research and are now really looking forward to the Bolongora Trevor's new collection, which may include a new variety of scarves and other accessories, just what we like to hear! Launching for Spring Summer 2010, U (Universal Clothing Company) is a new label bringing street styling to everyday clothing. U was founded by Rafal Antos (former designer of Gap Europe and Giorgio Armani) and Don-Alvin Adegeest (formerly of LVMH and founder of Pressroom Communications).

Fresh off the plane from Ibiza, we're delighted to announce our new stockist; A cool, eclectic boutique called Revolver (photo above). Quoted by Elle as "The hotetst boutique in town". The store boasts an edgy collection of labels such as Sass and Bide, Jean-Pierre Braganza and Twenty8Twelve - imagine East London cool mixed with Ibiza beach chic.
